If the cooler temperatures and changing of colors from green to gold on Masonboro are any indication, Fall is just around the corner of the calendar. That's good news! Autumn is the best time to be out on that island, and we are pleased to offer some special trips just for this season of transition.
Birding: We had sucess on our Hutaff birding cruise this morning with the sighting of a piping plover. These next few months are your chance to glimpse rare migrating species like the Red Knot as they make their way down our coast. Trips leave at 9 and 12:30, and at other times by appointment, but please let us know you are coming by making a reservation.
Eco-Tours: Like the mainland forests, Masonboro changes colors during the autumn, too. Watch the Spartina morph from green to golden amber, or the dune bean burst into edible bloom. Through the eyes of an experienced guide, you can see this pristine barrier island as you never have before. Trips leave at 9 am and 12:30; reservations required.
For more information on our cruises and what we offer, or to make a reservation, please give Capt. Joe a call at (910) 200-4002. Looking forward to seeing you out on the water!
